Hi I have seen Silver Gulls and many of the herons/egrets puddling with their feet in the sand/mud to expose food but yesterday was the first time I had seen Hooded Plovers doing this. Bustards were once widespread including the Southern States, and are a Protected Species. Exceptions include shooting in Self Defence, and the Indigenous hunting for traditional food.
