Foot disease in Peewees

Hello Phillip,

Peewees sometimes get their feet entangled in twine, possibly as a result of trying to collect it as nest material.

If the twine becomes tight enough it eventually amputates their toes , or foot.

Tracking

Following a post on the Facebook page about using the Ocker-Post tracking service to monitor the route a book took to travel all round Melbourne I have been doing the same on my volume. Its more fun t’han radio tracking shorebirds!! (And somewhat harder to explain.)

Bustard sightings

There were at least two Bustards sighted by Bill the new caretaker at Eyre Bird Observatory, I think he said they were on the North Track, that was last week. Those records would have been forward to BirdLife I think. Cheers Geoff Hutchinson
