A study of sites near Canberra (?) and NSW showed that noisy miner numbers were negatively correlated with fine leaved wattles (Acacia decurrens, A. parramattensis, A baileyana etc.)

There was also a trial removing Bell Miners by Jim Shields at Pambula about 10 years ago that led to an increase of small birds and the Miners staying away.
