Rose-crowned fruit dove -NSW far south coast

Two Rose-crowned fruit doves this week on the NSW far south coast with the latest just today by Jenny Robb of KIah Wilderness Tours. As more is discovered about the biology of Night Parrots I think it is likely that they will eventually be found much further afield in north-western Queensland and perhaps even the east Pilbara of W.A. or anywhere above the Fox/Dingo line.

Hmmm. Here is a novel view. Let’s trust the scientists and BH who are working hard to protect the NIght Parrot. I’m sure they will call for help from the citizen science community within agreed monitoring protocols when it is needed. Until then you may be doing more harm than good.
