NZ birds

Hi all Sooo…I need your advice on birds of NZ…I lived in Hamilton for 2 yrs in my 20’s but wasn’t a bird watcher …🙄 My family is there from early Dec 2018 to Mid Jan 2019 Any fav locations would be welcome? Endemics locations? Any reliable night time Kiwi locations?

Massive migration event in Canada

Hi All I picked up a reference to the following massive warbler migration event reported from Quebec in Eastern Canada through a UK birding report – the link is to an ebird report – the numbers involved make some of the reported Honeyeater movements here seem a bit feeble… ebird.org/view/checklist/S46116491
