Where do WA Birders Post Notable Sightings

Hi

I am going to Southern WA in December.

I’ve noticed that there are very few postings of sightings on Eremaea Birdlines WA.

Is there another website or Facebook site that WA people post on regularly , please or is Western Aus ebird the only source ?

Cheers

Kevin

I thought readers might find this New York Times article of interest on a Common Meganser hen with 76 duckings following her on a lake in Minnesota.

last id – yellow spotted or graceful

Dear List,

Going through our bird lists, this is the last bird from Australia we have not been able to identify.

It is either a Yellow-spotted Honeyeater or a Graceful honeyeater.

We saw it in March on the Jindalba walk in Cape Tribulation (just north of the Daintree ferry).

It was moving around a . . . → Read More: last id – yellow spotted or graceful

Subject: Rockhampton – QLD

Hi James,

Things are pretty parched here at the moment so well short of the best birding it can be. Rocky is probably best known for its freshwater wetlands and the water levels are all down a bit which usually means good birding where there is water … but despite that, bird numbers are down . . . → Read More: Subject: Rockhampton – QLD

Rockhampton – QLD

Hi all,

Going to be in Rockhampton for a few days work this coming weekend/early next week. Wondering if anyone has some recommended sites for good birding in the area? Have no particular targets, just would be nice to hang out with the QLD birds we don’t get to appreciate as much whilst in Melbourne.

Suggested sites for Birding west of Brisbane

I’m going to be visiting Brisbane in a couple of weeks time, and a friend of mine (who lives in Laidley Heights near Gatton) and I want to catch up and do some birding together. Can anyone recommend a site to the west of Brisbane within about a 90 minute drive?

Thanks Wendy Cayless
