WTNT and Turwuoise Parrot, Albury

While chasing butterflies on Nail Can Hill in Albury this afternoon I spotted a flock of about 50 White-throated Needletails briefly circling up high. Tree Martins and a couple of Dusky Woodswallows were also present, but at a much lower altitude (just above tree canopy). 50 plus needletails circling at head height and as high as one could see at 12.30pm today on Callagans Creek Road 31 50 32 : 152 03 89. This is somewhere between Gloucester and Mount George, NSW.

On 2nd Jan about 1000hr 7 WTNTS circling high over Yamba shopping centre. The birds were high in a hazy sky and I thought one was a Fork-tailed Swift but not 100% sure. Cheers Geoff
