Hello all, Has anyone that has stayed at Portland House at Portland Roads, Cape York identified the small bats that reside in the cupboard under the kitchen sink? RFI Cairns

Frank, The Mangrove Golden Whistler is pretty much absent from the east coast. There is a population on Camp Island down near Ayr, and another in the Torres Strait. Woodswallows over northern Sydney

Hi Tom et al. I was staying at the in-laws on Burns Rd in Wahroonga (northern Sydney) yesterday. I was excited to hear then see (presumably) the same flock of Masked and White-browed Woodswallow a little before 10.30am yesterday. Burns Rd is approximately 1km from Tom’s sighting. I have heard (lots of thanks to a local birder David) that there is a Rufous Owl that sometimes roosts near the Cairns Convention Centre. David said in the big mango tree.
