RFI Helmeted Guineafowl

Does anyone know if the populations of Helmeted Guineafowl at Charters Towers and Magnetic Island are still present? Those populations were the reason the species was included on the Australian list by Christidis & Boles (2008) and I was hoping to twitch them at one of those locations.
