During a visit to the Border Ranges National Park in NSW I enjoyed excellent views of Rufous Scrubbird and heard Eastern Bristlebird. In the town of Lawrence near the Clarence River I found 10 Freckled Ducks amid hundreds of Pink-eared Ducks, and saw Black-necked Stork near Casino. An update on Kerang Lakes: McDonalds Swamp has a bit of water in it, but only a few ducks, pelicans and the odd swan. Hirds Swamp is dry.
