Took my dog to the vet last night and there was a guy there with a female Eclectus Parrot in a cage. It raised a question in my mind regarding the need for a permit to keep one of these. I spent several days in the Byfield-Corio Bay area, where in addition to the previously mentioned Broad-billed Flycatcher, Little Kingfisher and Mangrove Golden Whistler, nice birds seen include several Olive-backed Sunbirds, here at the southern end of their range.
