Hi Heard a Pacific Baza calling around 12pm today at our place. Possibly the same bird I reported recently. When I looked up in that direction, I saw about 12 possible White-throated Needletails flying around. They were too high to ID positively, but their body and wing shape did seem right for WTNT. I have now seen four photos of the terns Laurie saw today. Three are of ‘the’ Arctic Tern. In my opinion, the other (labelled 06) is a first or second year White-fronted Tern (need more time to consider in detail). So now three of these easily confused species may be seen together!!!!
