yandina creek wetlands coverage

Many of you have been supportive of the campaign to protect the Yandina Creek Wetlands on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. The wetlands, although providing habitat for large numbers of migratory shorebirds and rarities such as Australian Painted-Snipe and Eastern Grass Owl, were drained last week, but they can be restored. Coverage today in The Weekend Australian newspaper well hopefully help put the national spotlight on the issue. The articles are hidden behind the paper’s paywall but a full transcript can be found here: http://sunshinecoastbirds.blogspot.com.au/2015/07/wetlands-drained-but-in-spotlight.html Greg Roberts ninderry@westnet.com.au http://sunshinecoastbirds.blogspot.com/
