Mystery call, Little Desert (Vic)

At dawn at Kiata campground, several birds were making a three note call that I didn’t recognise. I’d appreciate if people could have a listen and tell me what it is: http://snd.sc/1eQEdkL We didn’t hear this call later in the day, so I assume it’s a call made only early morning, and probably something common.
