Any recommendation for central/northern India and Nepal? I have the 2003 Grimmett/Inskio “Birds of Northern India” – I will also be going into NW Maharashtra (Tadoba NP) and that is not covered by the book. Sacred Kingfisher, Fitzroy Gardens, Melbourne

There was a Sacred Kingfisher calling loudly from an Elm in the Fitzroy Gardens at about 7:15 this morning. I wasn’t able to spot the bird itself, though.
