Spring migrants NE NSW

Hi All, First Channel-billed Cuckoo at Gibraltar Reserve this morning, about 100km west of Yamba at the foot of Gibraltar Range. The September full moon usually has lots of fauna activity, and this year’s no exception. Spectacled Monarch, Logrunner and other forest species 5 minutes walk west, and Platypus, Lewin’s Rail, King Quail, and others calling from beyond the veggie garden. Updated species list is on our website, with some migrant arrival dates and observations. Scarlet Honeyeaters in profusion, with video (including White-cheeked Honey) on flowering Callistemon, E. saligna & Syncarpia gomullifera at the moment (Musk & Little Lorikeet seen but not on film).
