Sacred kingfisher in Exhibition gardens

I don’t know if anyone is interested, but there is a sacred kingfisher above the ponds just south of the exhibition buildings. If you’re in town, it’s a beautiful site! Joe Novella

  1. Apologies, I am new to posting on this forum. The kingfisher was in a tree just south-east of the Melbourne Exhibition Buildings, Carlton Gardens. It was overlooking the pond located there. Thank you all for the tips on describing its location. I think I got so excited about seeing it, that I just whipped off a stack of text messages and emails all at once! Joe

  2. Joe, That’s great if I have access to Google maps, but you still need to communicate where you saw the bird? With any posting if you could please consider that this is an Australia-wide forum so while you know where exhibition gardens are, there could be many of Exhibition Gardens in Australia. Regards Alastair

  4. Hi Joe,

Any location clue to actually go and see this bird, for those that wish to? ie Country, State, City or Town etc.

Lots of this problem from birders on BA & Eremaea.

    Kindest regards.
