In ten years of land-based seawatching off Maroubra (Mistral Point and Magic Point) from 1996 to 2005, I recorded 42 NGPs and 149 SGPs, with another 572 unidentified GPs. There may be a slight skewing, as white-phase SGPs (of which there were a few over the years) can of course be identified at a great distance. It might be interesting to go back to the raw data to see if there was a trend over those years. If there’s anything interesting, I’ll post it.
