Hi all. My wife and I have just returned from a tour to these islands organised by Birding Tours Australia which was ably led by Richard Baxter. Bird highlights on Christmas Island were: Yellow Bittern Cinnamon Bittern Pintail Snipe Dollarbird Black Bittern Malayan Night Heron Java Sparrow A mysterious unidentified cuckoo The frigatebirds, boobies and the endemics were also a delight.
