Two questions from teacher colleagues – Brolgas and Scopes

Good evening, I’m passing on two questions from colleagues at Kardinia International College here in Geelong.Hoping someone might find a moment to share some insight. Firstly, literature on Brolgas. Can anyone suggest any recent research papers and/or books highlighting the biology of this species, covering aspects of breeding success, distribution, status, ecology and conservation, the usual …. Secondly, any suggestions for the purchase of a mid-range quality scope in the few hundred dollar range available locally for purchase. Thank you kindly in advance for any information you can provide. Kind regards,

There is a Brolga Recovery group at http://victorianbrolgastudy.com.au/whomay have some info and contacts

As for scopes in that range – I know that LL Bean in the US had one for $299 – a friend just got one but I have yet to hear how good it is. They will only ship to US addresses but there are companies that will forward things to Aus. If you are interested I will try and dig out the details
