sunshine coast pelagic

We had an excellent pelagic trip off the Sunshine Coast yesterday seeing two species very rarely recorded in Queensland – Soft-plumed Petrel and White-chinned Petrel – along with a highly unusual mix of subtropical and subantarctic species. Good birds included unseason Tahiti Petrel and Sooty Tern, Kermadec Petrel and very large numbers of Providence Petrels.
