Gday all
With recent drought breaking rains across outback Qld, I am hoping to find areas where nomadic birds are responding as we speak. Usually the best response follows after severe drought so am wondering if irruptions are occurring anywhere the rains have fallen but particularly in areas from around Camooweal, Mt Isa, Cloncurry Longreach Windorah Boulia areas.
Some of the most enjoyable birding can be found in areas after a severe drought breaks.
Spectacular increases of indicator species such as Cockateil, Budgerigars, Crimson Chat, White-bowed and Masked Woodswallows etc. would be most useful. Has anyone recently witnessed Budgerigah murmurations anywhere across the outback?
Any information about outback bird irruptions will be gratefully received.
Regards
