Hi I have been to Nauru a couple of times. The Nauru warbler is easy to hear and see, even in the trees and shrubs outside the airport terminal building so can be spotted during a plane stop. Most planes stop at Nauru on the way to somewhere else (Kiribati, Fiji etc) and you get an hour or so to wait around. The warblers are in the lusher vegetation of the cliffs between the lower coastal shelf and the upland plateau. There is a small lake on the plateau when you walk (or drive) up the main access road which has a few waders. The reef flat has the usual reef herons and odd wader. The other interesting bird feature of the island is the pet frigate birds that are kept with houses along the shore, and tethered to perches set on the reef platform.
