    Hi Judy

You don’t really need GPS co-ords for these 2 spots.

For Kalkadoon GW, just go to Sybella Ck where it crosses the Isa-Boulia Rd. Walk west along the creekbed for a few hundred mtrs. Where the low ridge on north side of creek drops down on the far side of the ridge’s highest point, start looking… they can sometimes be in the creekbed near here too. Just pick an outcrop with a bit of a view to the lower country to S, W & N (the ridge climbs behind you to the E) & just sit quietly & wait & listen for them – don’t try to rock-hop or move around too much in search of them. You don’t need to play any calls either !! For the Warragal Waterhole site, just go there to the very end of rd at the waterhole & look around the rocky spinifex outside the gorge. They are usually around no more than 100mtrs from the very end of rd.

For the more difficult Carpentarian GW, try McNamara Rd anywhere from 7 to 12kms from the highway. I’ve never had them anywhere to the E of rd, only on the W side, usually 100-300mtrs in at about 8kms N of hwy. Once again, just move around very quietly & limit your movements & listen for them & look about 30mtrs ahead of yourself. Other observers have had them on both sides of the rd.

    I hope this helps you.

    Cheers
