Radjah Shelduck on Sunshine Coast

A Radjah Shelduck is showing nicely at Pacific Paradise on the Sunshine Coast along with plenty of good birds including Black-necked Stork, Black-tailed Godwit, Spotted Harrier and Latham’s Snipe. Radjah Shelduck is a very rare vagrant to south-east Queensland. In other birding news for the region, a pair of Beach Stone Curlews is nesting at the Kakadu Hide on Bribie Island, where they have tried unsuccessfully to nest in previous years.
