Can someone help me with an obscure query pease- I need to know what the
vegetation is like on on Albany Island off Cape York, the only non-mainland
site for Magnificent Riflebird in Australia
*Also reported from Albany Island off Cape York (Blakers et al 1984), an
odd record for such a sedentary species for which there are no records of
wandering, and which is absent from any of the other satellite islands.
However, Trumpet Manucode is also known to occur on this island. Recorded
from sea level up to about ———-?????*
I’d also like to know what altitude this species gets to in Queensland, how
high do they reach at Iron Range?
This is all research for a long gestating book about Birds of Paradise and
Bowerbirds
Thanks
