White-faced Heron (Egretta novaehollandiae) (1) White face Heron came to out attention because of the strange behaviour of ravens and magpies in the area, which were swooping it. The heron was hidden from our view until we went out to investigate, and found it perched on a garden shed. The bird then flew.
