Temperature was about 35 degrees. Reported by: Kent Treloar on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 ——————————————— Date: Thursday, February 12, 2015 Location: Basham’s Beach Port Elliot Hooded Plover (Thinornis rubricollis) (5) 2 adult and 3 juvenile birds. 2 adults flagged are the resident pair. 3 juvenile,1 flagged are fly ins from other beaches. Reported by: Winston Syson on Friday, February 13, 2015 ——————————————— Date: Friday, February 13, 2015 Location: Port Noarlunga Reef Hooded Plover (Thinornis rubricollis) (1) A surpising sighting while snorkelling off the Pt Noarlunga Reef this afternoon. A pair of these birds feeding atop the exposed Port Noarlunga Reef, managed a basic shot with a small underwater camera I was using. One bird with an orange flag on it’s leg but unable to see details clearly….pictures linked.
