most numerous bird in the world, was shearwaters

I am not disputing these claims but they had me wondering as I have always thought that the most common bird was the Red Jungle Fowl with all its domestic forms. If looking at genuine wild birds then the Red-billed Quelea in Africa, with a reported figure of 1.5 billion birds, makes the shearwater look positively rare!
