HI Jenny, Yes that is exactly my approach to such sites. That is driving very slowly listening for activity. I recall Owlet Nightjars calling (during the day – and we saw three of them) and Turquoise Parrots were the most common Parrot encountered. It really is a special locality. Last week I drove through Normanton twice for work and saw a WB Sea Eagle feeding on carrion (just near the Flinders River) on the roadside with Wedgies and Whistling Kites. Same location each time.
