Oriental Cuckoos

Have been posting on Brisbane Birders about a pair of Oriental Cuckoos that have been in the garden for a week now. Was asked to post on Birding Aus. Happy to host twitchers if keen.

Hawaii in June-July?

My daughter has just had some good news – a course she’s on has credited her leading Joeys as contact hours, meaning she won’t have to do specific placements during school holidays this year.

The upshot is that we’re thinking about going to Hawaii in late June or early July.

2016 Great Backyard Birdcount – February 12-15, 2016

G’day

One of the world’s biggest bird observation events takes place next weekend – Friday 12 to Mon 15 February. The data people submit via gbbc.birdcount.org ends up in eBird. Typically Australia winds up around 6th or 7th for the number of species observed.

Brolgas Lawrence/Lower Southgate
