Kaikoura is definitely a great trip. I would add, though not strictly pelagic, is the boat tours around Stewart Island. We managed to get a few albatross, penguins (on shore and in the water), skua and sundry others while cruising around. Hi all, Highlights of the Saturday SOSSA pelagic were: 1 Atlantic Yellow-nosed Albatross (BARC submission in prep), 2 White-headed Petrels and 15-20 Pygmy Killer Whales.
