Forest raven = corvus australis?
Here’s an amusing taxonomic quandary… In 1781, Latham writes of “south-seas raven” based on specimen collected from Cook’s 3rd voyage – he reports it’s from the friendly isles (Tonga) Gmelin gives it the name Corvus australis in 1788.
