For about five years a domestic drake of Khaki Campbell type lived on a local billabong among Black Ducks. It certainly tried to court Black Ducks, but I never saw any hybrid offspring. More than 50k from WTP perhaps, but not far as the plover flies – over the past few weeks there has been a group of about 50+ DBPs at Sandy Point, roosting on the sand spit between Shallow Inlet and the surf beach.
