Hi Peter, Thanks for that, it seems that race rowleyi is seen on stoney-ground often, as well as sandy ground sometimes. For my 2 cents worth, my best time of day for any grasswren observation is about mid-day – so much for the early risers….!! Looked a busy day for bird in Adelaide today – on an hour’s walk to work, we started off with a pile of lorikeets and Noisy Miners around Parkside, along with a small group of Dusky Woodswallows gliding past and a metric shed-load of Crested Pigeons.
