NW Vic

Letter-winged Kite

Has the bird reported from North Victoria disappeared or have those observing it not reported on eBird?

Or have Australia Post picked up on the “letter”part of the name and imposed a charge for looking at the bird?

Cairns information request

My wife and I will be in the Cairns/Yorkeys Knob area early in May and would like to know if there have been any recent sightings of Rufous owls in that area. Also any other ideas for good places to find some of the birds of that region. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks…. Colin . . . → Read More: Cairns information request

The Australian Bird Guide

I picked my copy up from BirdLife Western Australia when they arrived yesterday (BWA sells it at $40 plus postage if you can’t pick it up from the office).

It is certainly a great book, and you can see the amount of detail they have gone to.

I like the text that is next to . . . → Read More: The Australian Bird Guide
