Greetings, I heard my first Chanel-billed cuckoos for the season this morning at about 6 am. It sounded like two or more birds. Later I heard a single bird calling at about 0620. A sombre Hi all, A Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service burn in Town Common Conservation Park yesterday destroyed an active Osprey nest – with, possibly, loss of unseen eggs or young (female on and off nest for several months).
