Yandina Creek Wetlands Drained

The 200-hectare Yandina Creek Wetlands on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast have been drained, leaving numerous nesting waterbirds stranded. The wetlands provided refuge to Australian Painted-Snipe and other rare birds, as well as hundreds of migratory shorebirds. See here for more. This posts includes links for people to lodge protests and demand that drainage works be reversed: http://sunshinecoastbirds.blogspot.com.au/2015/07/yandina-creek-wetlands-have-been-drained.html Greg Roberts ninderry@westnet.com.au http://sunshinecoastbirds.blogspot.com/
