Many birders have supported the campaign to protect the 200ha Yandina Creek Wetland on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, which had provided refuge to hundreds of migratory shorebirds and other waterbirds. The wetland has been drained for the second time as government departments pass the buck on who can do what.
