I am heading out too the WTP on Friday morning with my father and my eldest son (he is 5) too see if we can find the Northern Shoveler.. This will be the 3rd visit there without luck! Can anyone give me any up to date sightings of where to actually find it? I know previous records show it still on Lake Borrie but it’s a pretty large lake!! Any information would be greatly appreciated.. Hi Phil.
The western and northern parts of Lake Borrie used to be the go to spot but in the last week or so it seems to have moved to Walsh Lagoon Ponds 2 & 3. I would search extensively around both of these areas as it is extremely flighty and might take some finding. Others might have some more recent, up to date information.
Good luck and I hope you succeed!
