Warblr birdsong app

Hello everyone, I notice that the Warblr app (for identifying about 200 UK birds) is now available for download to Apple devices (apparently it will be a while before it is available for Android). Sounds like something that is going to really take off around the world over the next few years. Any news of a potential Aussie developer? The complications – geographical variation, background noise, mimicry etc etc – would seem to indicate it will be a long time before any app can match the human ear. It could be handy for beginners learning ‘simple’ calls, such as cuckoos. But it is amazing how the improbable quickly becomes the possible in a field like this.
