I am build a database characterising key behaviour and morphology traits in Australia’s birds. This database will include details of: Number of subspecies, Date of description, Person that described the species, Weight separately for the sexes), Length (separately for the sexes), Clutch size , Clutch frequency, Max. offspring per year, Migratory, Nest height, Breeding months, Age at maturity, Age at fledging, Flighted or not, Colonial (with estimated colony size if yes), Social or not, weight of brain, and many other fields. *****Once this database is complete it will made freely and publically available. ***** I will be extracting information from a variety of sources but, by far, the largest source of information with be Handbook of Australian, New Zealand and Antarctic birds.
