UNSOLICITED SPAM EMAILS

Dear Herbert,

If I was raising funds from Uganda (a country whose human rights record is notorious) I would seek the support of influencers who know what I do and its value, before sending out emails to people I don’t know. Sending emails to potential donors one has never met as “Dear friend” is pointless. As for mass spam e-mails, I suggest you DON’T do it.

I wholly support women’s education – the discovery of DNA’s nature was due to the talents and endurance of Rosalind Franklin.

If I have caused you hurt, then I am truly sorry – please regard this as a learning exercise – we get so many spam emails seeking funds from African nationals that I thought it’s another con-artist. In every such case I take the time to waste their time.

Carl – your view is understandable. You should, however, have supported Herbert by expressing support for his bona fides in Herbert’s email. Post-hoc criticism is facile.

I will continue to unashamedly jump on suspect emails sent to me.

Cheers,

Graham

Dear Graham, Iam very sorry. I dont know how your email got in my mail box. I have been travelling to different countries for the last 10 years. May be some how I got it. Sure I was sending to all those I have met.

Actually the human rights is not as bad and it is published in some news papers.

    Kindly forget about all this.

    Herbert

    Hi Clive,

There was nothing mean-spirited about it. I do not remember Herbert’s previous emails. I tried to help Herbert in his fund-raising efforts.

    Cheers,

    Graham
