In the Sydney Morning Herald’s Spectrum supplement today, there are reviews of three bird related books. They are “Mr J. W. Lewin: Painter & Naturalist” , which was mentioned on B-A a little while back and which is well reviewed. The second title is “Nest: The Art of Birds”, by Janine Burke, Allen & Unwin, which did not receive as glowing a review as the Lewin title. The third is “A Steady Hand: Governor Hunter and His First Fleet Sketchbook” by Linda Groom, National Library of Australia, which is also favorably reviewed. The Hunter title seems to be a good companion to the Lewin title.
