Hi Mick
Very interested in the subject of Tasmanian boobooks in Victoria.
On three or four occasions in recent years while surveying in reserves in the Dandneong Ranges I have come across ‘daytime’ boobooks with some different features to those I usually see nesting near my place in The Basin.
Am interested in what you make of a pic I hurriedly took when I encountered this owl about 3pm in the Baluk Willem Reserve four weeks ago.
Cheers
Laurie
