Some months ago, I asked if any birding aussers had contact with Carlton players. Meeting these men and seeing them play was the dying wish of my daughter-in-law. Ed Williams, a fellow birding ausser came to the rescue, putting me onto Jake Crawford, Carlton’s Fan Development, Diversity & Community Trainee Officer. The Machado-Joseph Foundation arranged funding and Stephanie with daughter Vickarena, was on her way.
