Status of Coxen’s Fig Parrot?

Evening all,

I was having a look through birdsindanger.net today, and was surprised to see Coxen’s Fig Parrot listed as Endangered ( http://www.birdsindanger.net/double-eyed-fig-parrot-southern-coxens). * * I had been under the impression that they were at least Critically Endangered, if not already extinct? I did a bit of digging and found a few BA posts, including one about a nest which was found/collected in 2008? Post 2008, I couldn’t find anything else detailing actual records, however it seems there must still be a population and sightings being made somewhere by the recovery team – the border region or Bundaberg I assume? Anyway, myself, Max Breckenridge and Ashwin Rudder are intending to spend schoolies week after the HSC birding the border region of NSW, and I was wondering, is there actually a chance of seeing a Coxen’s anywhere? I for one would jump at the chance to help out with a survey, or at least know where the suitable areas for these birds are/were, just to keep any eye out?
