Just had one of the strangest but most fantastic experiences….was talking to a friend on the phone when one of the rarest Australian birds landed on a branch less than five metres from my study window….a Square-tailed Kite seemed to be interested in the bird-bath and after about ten minutes it landed on the ground then flew-off. I’m almost wondering if it ‘dropped’-in to say hello, weird.
