At Cottontree (Maroochydore) Wednesday afternnon and spotted a SBB Gull on a sandbar? Is this species regularly seen on the Sunshine Coast? CAn not remember seeing one before ===============================

    Had me guessing there for a while. Kelp Gull.

    No, I don’t think Kelp Gulls are commonly seen in Queensland, though they are probably more likely than Lesser Black-backed Gulls.
