shooting in national parks

Dear Birding-aussers,

Somewhere in the past couple of months during the discussion on shooting in national park and nature reserves in NSW, someone provided a list of Australian bird species that supposedly were going to be allowed to be shot (I won’t dignify the pastime by using the word hunted). Apart from the usual duck and quail species I am sure these birds included both species of the larger ibis, black swans, and various pigeons. I would be most grateful if someone could direct me to this list and especially to whatever was the source. I am engaged in a computer “ping pong” match with a NSW government department who obviously has no idea as to what is being talked about when it comes to hunting in NSW.

Many thanks,

Mark
